Founders Fund

The Founders Fund provides tuition assistance through merit-based and need-based scholarships to Presidio Graduate School students to make the dream of an advanced degree a reality for more emerging, committed, passionate, and innovative changemakers.

The Fund honors the vision, dedication, and commitment of our school’s incredible founders: Richard (Dick) M. Gray, Steven Swig, Gifford Pinchot III, Libba Pinchot, Sherman Severin, and Jill Bamburg. Thanks to the stewardship of our founders, Presidio has built a lasting legacy of providing transformative educational experiences to our more than 2,000 graduates who are leading change and having an impact around the world. We have since created new scholarship opportunities specifically for students from underrepresented communities as part of our commitment to ensuring equitable access to higher education.

Although Sherman passed away in 2013, followed by Dick in 2017, our Founders continue to inspire and support students and alumni through their vision and ongoing commitment to the ideals and values of sustainability, community, and justice that Presidio Graduate School embodies.

We need people to join us in our mission, and help deliver equitable, sustainable education to aspiring changemakers with the passion to work for a better world.
