Emily Pelissier

Executive Director

Emily has spent her career activating students, businesses, and faculty to mobilize the positive potential of business to create a more responsible, resilient, and sustainable society. After a decade leading at the intersection of sustainable business and academia, she brings expertise in nonprofit management, academic administration, and sustainability thought leadership to the Executive Director role at the Presidio Center for Sustainable Solutions.  

Previously, Emily served as Associate Director at the Center for Responsible Business at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. In that role, she led strategic program development, faculty and student engagement, and external relations on behalf of the center and school. Prior to UC Berkeley, she served on the corporate partnerships and development team at Net Impact, a nonprofit dedicated to mobilizing the next generation of sustainable business leaders. Emily also serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of the Bay Area-based outdoor education non-profit Exploring New Horizons.  

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Emily grew up in the outdoors and has dedicated her life to social impact and environmental sustainability. She completed her MBA in Sustainable Solutions at Presidio Graduate School and has a BA in Environmental Studies and Business Administration from the University of Oregon. In her spare time, Emily enjoys getting outside in California’s amazing natural environment, visiting her family up and down the west coast, and traveling to new destinations.
