Kelly Jones, MPP
Adjunct Professor
Kelly Jones comes to Presidio with an interdisciplinary background that informs both her practice as a data scientist and the problems she is looking to solve in the world. She is particularly passionate about collective, cross-sector approaches to addressing deeply entrenched inequities.
Her current role—as a Senior UX Data Scientist at Qualtrics—is centered on product analytics in the tech sector. Previously, she has worked for a collective impact nonprofit in her home state of Washington, for an elected official in Colorado, in academic research and program evaluation in Tennessee, and as a classroom teacher for fifth and sixth-grade students in both traditional and charter public schools in rural south Texas. Across these many roles and contexts, the driving question of Kelly’s work has been how knowledge is generated and how to make the best decisions in the face of imperfect information.
