Dual MBA/MPA Student Profile
Reorienting social and economic systems to more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable models presents monumental challenges and opportunities that are often too large to address in the public or private sectors alone. For those change agents with the drive and dedication to approach our most urgent problems by developing multi-sector solutions, earning both an MBA and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree is the ideal path forward via our Dual Degree program.
It’s our philosophy that solutions to these intractable problems are best achieved when everyone contributes. That’s why we strive to ensure that the academic and community experiences we deliver are inclusive and accessible.
Our academic pedagogy and our admissions process reflect this same perspective. As they grapple with the challenges they’re determined to solve, we find that our students learn a lot from one another. Therefore, we build diverse cohorts that bring together people from a broad array of backgrounds, professional experiences, geographies, and career aspirations to facilitate opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and collaboration.
To us, you’re much more than a number. We seek to admit students who have at least two years of work experience in order for them to benefit from the courses and conversations. We also focus on the goals you are looking to achieve to see how we can mutually benefit from your admission to our program. Ultimately, those who join us are intrinsically motivated to take what they learn in our classrooms and use their learnings to take on significant challenges such as social justice and the climate crisis, working through the public and private sectors together to find and build lasting solutions.
